- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Prepare the Fish:
- Rinse the yellowtail snappers under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- Score each side of the fish with three diagonal cuts to allow the seasonings to penetrate and to help it cook evenly.
- Season the Fish:
- In a small bowl, mix the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, dried thyme, and dried oregano.
- Rub the olive oil all over the fish, including inside the cavity.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the fish and inside the cavity.

- Place a few lemon slices and half of the minced garlic inside the cavity of each fish.
- Lay the remaining lemon slices on top of the fish.
- Bake the Fish:
- Place the seasoned and stuffed yellowtail snappers on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The exact cooking time will depend on the size of the fish.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Remove the fish from the oven and transfer to a serving platter.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and additional lemon wedges.
- Serve immediately, accompanied by your favorite side dishes.
