Ingredients

  • 1 cup (125g) plain yogurt (a 125g yogurt container can be used as a measuring tool)
  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (to prevent apple slices from browning)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9-inch (23cm) round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
